...I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ.
— Apostle Paul to the Philippians

Discipleship Program

The unexamined life is not worth living. Those were the words of Socrates but they contain an important lesson for followers of Christ.  We live in a time where information is more plentiful and accessible than ever before.  As Christians we can mistake an abundance of spiritual knowledge as true spiritual growth.  Many believers go about their lives without taking sufficient time to recognize the implications of what they know and the important calling it places on their lives.

Our aim is to help students re-examine all of life from God's perspective—to teach them how to be more thoughtful and intentional with what they believe.  Through a special time of training, mentoring, and personal application, we want to help prepare young men and women too be loyal to the mighty work of God in and through their lives.

We believe in the value of setting aside a unique period of time to lay a foundation for this kind of a more thoughtful and intentional life.  During the program students are trained and mentored with a focus on cultivating both the heart and the mind, introduced to the benefit of spiritual disciplines, and equipped to study scripture and talk about their faith.

Attendees take advantage of this rich discipleship experience in a safe and close-nit community of fellow students and loving staff.  Each day is also fortified with activities and times of refreshment to compliment learning and growth.

Format & Schedule

Upcoming Session: TBA

This two-week program is designed to give students an opportunity to digest and experience vital truths about the Christian life in a deeper and more practical way.  We have created an intentionally unhurried schedule that allows more time for students to reflect on what they hear and discuss what they are learning with staff, mentors, and fellow students.

During the first week students will participate in twenty-five sessions carefully selected to challenge and equip them in both heart and mind.  Over the course of the program each student is in a mentoring relationship with a mature believer who is there to counsel and guide them in understanding and applying what they learn to their own circumstances.

The second week of the program is heavily geared towards personal application.  With the help of a mentor, students will be responsible for planning a portion of their own schedule to challenge themselves in areas of needed growth.  We want students to begin personally experiencing what they have been taught before returning home.

Various aspects of the program:

  • Daily time alone with God

  • One-on-one mentoring

  • Biblical teaching

  • Guest speakers

  • Open forums

  • Small group Bible studies

  • Christian reading

  • Prayer and worship

  • Personal application projects

  • Delicious home-style meals

  • Fellowship with other students

  • Indoor and outdoor activities
